Autumn

This morning I was out before 7am walking with Jac in Pembrey Country Park. It was a great morning for a walk with the sunrise on the horizon and mist between the autumnal trees. It reminded me of a poem we learned at school by Emily Bronte,

Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;
Lengthen night and shorten day;
Every leaf speaks bliss to me
Fluttering from the autumn tree.
I shall smile when wreaths of snow
Blossom where the rose should grow;
I shall sing when night's decay
Ushers in a drearier day.
