Last Steam Train

This painting was done from memory. Well it is a product of my youth. I remember well the old trains pulling freight through Saltley against an industrial backdrop. (This was later the scene of Saltley Gate when Arthur Scargill picketed the fuel depot forcing its closure).

 Anyway that is how I remember it during the last days of steam and I called the painting, " The last Steam Train". It sold pretty much straight away.
