Last night we went with friends to a birthday celebration. I had a pleasant evening chatting with friends one of those in our group was Ceri Auckland Davies a Welsh Artist originally from Llanelli. One of his paintings is shown above. He is the only professional artist I know who uses egg tempera as a medium and the effects are absolutely stunning. The medium is perfect for capturing light. I greatly admire anyone who can master what I feel is a particularly difficult medium.
