I occasionally do watercolours. The one above is a mixture of wet in wet technique and dry on top. It gives a soft atmospheric feel appropriate for the subject. This was quite a large watercolour which can be difficult to control and prevent cockling (the wrinking of a paper that means, in my eyes anyway the painting should be thrown away). Its all down to preparation and a bit of luck!
